Eagle Rock HS-- The Eagles showed why they're undefeated in league at 5-0 while the Mules showed why they're the second best team in league at 3-2. The Mules coming to the game with a 3-1 record and high hopes of upsetting the Eagles kept it close through out the game, finally loosing by 5 points.

Down by 1 point starting the 3rd period, the Eagles would out score Wilson by 11 points, 18-7 on some consistency play from Eagles 5'7" Senior #41 V. Alvarez (pictured RT) who was the only player to score in every period of the game for the Eagles, finishing the game with 12 points, making 2 of 3 from behind the three point line and both his free throws.

Giving the Eagles a 10 point lead 48-38 going into the 4th period. Best Sport naming V. Alvarez Player of the Game. Good job big guy. The Eagles other hot shooter in the third period was 6'2" #45 Junior S. Phillip who added 6 of his teams high 15 points.

The Mules now down by 10 points would not let up cutting the lead to 4 points at the 1:01 mark 52-56 of the 4th period on some nice play from Wilson's 6'1" Junior #25 Christian Martinez who was the games leading scorer with 20 points, 14 from the field and 6 from the free throw line. Martinez and Navarrete-garay combined for 36 of the Mules 56 points.

Making sure the Eagles would remain undefeated was Eagles 5'3" Senior #11 AJ Hutalla who made some big free throws in the 4th period when they were needed the most. Hitting 3 out of 4 from the line and adding a basket to close out the game with 12 points and ending the Mules hopes of an upset.

Best Sport names a Player of the Game for each game, not necessarily on most points scored but by their overall performance.
